ABOUT ME

Thank you for visiting my website.  I am very excited to be able to welcome clients to my new home studio.  Here I will be cutting and styling women’s, men’s and children’s hair in a relaxing environment.  I will also be providing makeup artistry and hairstyling for any special occasion.  Let me tell you a little about myself.

I have more than twenty years experience working in the hair and makeup industry and have worked internationally as a freelancer doing both hair and make up for magazine editorials, advertising campaigns, runway, television, pop promos and publishing.

I began my career training at the prestigious Charlie Miller salon in Edinburgh and later moved to Cheyne’s were I was made Creative Director. In 1999 I relocated to London where I studied make up at The London College of Fashion.

Highlights of my career include assisting session hairstylist heavyweight Guido for Alexander McQueen and Yohji Yamamoto’s Paris Fashion Week shows and working closely with Duran Duran on a number of projects including photo shoots and album covers.

I have also worked in television as a hair and make up supervisor for ITV, Sky and Channel 4 on various entertainment and music programmes as well as channel idents. During this time I have worked with a number of celebrities including Peter Andre, Janice Dickinson and Louise Thompson (Made in Chelsea).

During the last ten years, in addition to my freelance work, I have worked as an educator at both The London Hair Academy and The London Makeup School in Shoreditch tutoring classes in haircutting and hairstyling, barbering and makeup artistry at all levels from beginners through to advanced.

My signature trademark for cutting and hairstyling combines rigorous attention to technique with volume, texture and movement. For make-up, my area of specialism involves the creation of a look that works in synergy with the hair.
